Diamond Johnson Tapped as First Woman to Play in a Mens All American Basketball Game

Today, Iverson Classic announces that Philadelphia's Diamond Johnson will compete in the 24K Showcase at the Iverson Classic.

Allen Iverson, Jai Manselle and Bobby Bates FaceTimed Diamond Johnson's team during practice to let her know that she is being invited to play in the 24K Showcase at the Iverson Classic on April 22nd. This marks the first time in sports history that a woman has integrated a men's game at this level.

The 24K Showcase is one of 2 full-length games taking place during Iverson Classic week. The other is the Iverson Classic All American Game that takes place two days later on April 24th. The 24K Showcase features top ranked talent and participants are selected without regard to class.

Diamond Johnson has racked up 2,741 pts and an endless list of accolades, including PA Gatorade Player of the Year, SLAM Summer Classic MVP, All  USA Today PA First Team, EYBL MVP and more.
